Congratulations to Yellow Bird client The Carpenter’s Arms who have been crowned winners of East Midlands Chamber’s Leicestershire Business Awards!

The Loughborough addiction recovery charity was amongst the winners to be announced at the 2024 awards ceremony taking place at The Venue @ DMU on Friday, 8th November.  As well as winning the ‘Business Improvement Through Technology’ Award, the charity also made it as a Finalist in the ‘Commitment to People’ category.

Yellow Bird Marketing and Communications has been acting as the charity’s outsourced Marketing Director since April 2023, advising on all areas of strategy including discovery sessions with the charity’s senior team to help inform the marketing strategy, implementing a new content and social media strategy, PR and grant application submissions.

It is a charity that does incredible work in supporting men to overcome their addiction battles, reconcile with their loved ones and build back their lives. Like many charities and small businesses, it does so without fanfare.

Helping the charity get the recognition it deserves and raising the profile of its projects – whether that be its Malone Meadows ‘field to fork’ project at Six Hills, the new gym at Wharncliffe Road, re-building after the fire in March 2023 or helping to deliver its annual celebration and expo 2024 at King Power Stadium   – has been incredibly worthwhile.

Successful applications in the two categories of the Awards together with appearances of CEO Richard Spence on both television and radio is the welcome result of the charity’s focused approach to marketing and communications activity.
